Matthew’s legal career began in the demanding world of nursing home litigation, representing plaintiffs. There, he handled many emotionally charged cases. He witnessed his clients navigate the profound grief of losing a loved one while simultaneously fighting for justice in the courtroom. Through this experience, Matthew developed a deep empathy for those facing difficult life circumstances, and a fierce determination to protect and represent his clients’ interests. He brings this same determination to his practice of family law.
During law school, Matthew gravitated towards family law, excelling in all his courses. His dedication was recognized with the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Adoption Law. Matthew further honed his litigation skills under the tutelage of a former Attorney General, gaining invaluable experience in courtroom advocacy.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in all Virginia state courts.
