Mekdelawit (Makie) Theodros was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She is a graduate of George Mason University where she studied Government and International Politics, and she also obtained George Mason University’s Paralegal Certificate in 2023 through an intensive program offered in collaboration with The Center for Legal Studies. Makie is working towards her plan of entering law school in the coming year. As a member of the MHL team, Makie is our front desk administrative legal assistant/file clerk and helps with the daily operation of the firm. She is responsible for greeting clients whether in person during an office visit or when they reach out by telephone. Makie maintains the firm’s client files and ensures proper digital and physical storage of case documents. During her time off, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as fostering her love of travel.
